Psychiatric Care From Wherever You Are — Across New York

Telepsychiatry for Adults in New York
If you're anywhere in New York, you can get psychiatric care without the commute. Virtual visits aren't a lighter version of in-person care — same provider, same thorough evaluation, same attention to how your treatment is working. Just from your own space.
What a Virtual Visit Looks Like
Initial evaluation: We review your symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, prior medication trials, and what you're hoping treatment will change. You'll leave with a diagnosis where one is clear, a treatment plan, and an understanding of what to expect
Follow-up visits: We assess how your medication is working, address side effects, adjust dosing, and send prescriptions.
Visits take place on a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. No app download or account setup required — you'll receive a link before your appointment.
Where We're Licensed
Our provider is licensed in New York State. To be seen, you must be physically located in New York at the time of your appointment — this is a licensing requirement, not a preference, and it applies even if you live in New York but are traveling when your appointment comes up. If your plans change, let us know and we'll reschedule.
Prescriptions
Prescriptions are sent electronically to the pharmacy of your choice, usually the same day as your visit.
Refills: request them through the patient portal at least 2 business days before you run out.
We don't refill outside of an active treatment relationship, so keeping your follow-up appointments current keeps your prescriptions uninterrupted.
What to Have Ready
-
A private space where you can speak freely for the full visit
-
A device with a working camera and microphone, on a stable connection
-
Your current medication bottles, including supplements and anything prescribed by another doctor
-
Your pharmacy name and address
-
Photo ID and insurance card
-
Any prior psychiatric records or recent lab work, if you have them
Privacy
Visits are conducted on an encrypted, HIPAA-compliant platform, and nothing is recorded. If you don't have a private space at home, patients often use a parked car, and headphones help considerably. Let us know if privacy is a barrier — we can work around it.
When In-Person Care Is Needed
Most psychiatric care translates well to video, but not all of it. We may recommend an in-person visit or refer you to a higher level of care if you need lab monitoring or vital signs for certain medications, if symptoms are severe or unstable, or if you'd be better served by a treatment setting we don't provide. We'll tell you directly if that's the case rather than continuing care that isn't the right fit.
